BODACIOUS Our Alpacas Home Services & Products About Alpacas Sales List Useful Links Guarantees

Alpaca Boarding      We currently offer alpaca boarding on our farm for a fee of $2.50 per day, per alpaca.  Multiple animal discounts are available.  Our boarding fee includes routine husbandry, worming, and nail trimming.  Veterinary services are available at the customer's expense.  Our veterinary services are provided by Dale and Marilyn Ottosen of Cayuga Veterinary Services.  Alpaca transportation for boarders can also be arranged.

Breeding Services  Hand breeding is available to our herdsire FLA Taughannock, for an introductory fee of $1000.  Breeding fee includes free boarding for mom (and cria at her side) for 60 days, pregnancy confirmed by ultrasound, and personal care.  Transportation can be arranged for a reasonable fee.  All breedings come with a 30 day live birth guarantee.  A breeding to Taughannock also carries a female cria guarantee.  We realize that breeding fees can be a very significant operating expense.  For new breeders especially, paying top dollar for a breeding that may result in a fiber-quality male can be a real concern.  If your breeding to Taughannock results in a male cria, we will re-breed at no cost until a female cria is obtained (board fees and cost of pregnancy confirmation are the responsibility of the dam owner).

Quality Hay Sales Cuykendall farms have been raising and selling quality hay for well over 20 years.  We offer both 1st and 2nd cutting alpaca hay - a top quality blend of timothy and orchard grass.  Forage analysis available upon request.  Delivery to farms in the Central New York area can be arranged.

Alpaca Restraint Chutes We also offer custom made alpaca restraint chutes for sale.  These quality chutes are welded from 1 inch square stock, have two hinged panels on each side, and are designed to fit over your scale for ease of weighing.

Alpaca Fiber Products  We offer a wide selection of alpaca fiber products for sale.  Our inventory includes sweaters, hats, gloves, and mittens from both Peruvian and North American alpaca, as well as raw fleece, yarn, and beautiful one-of-a-kind felted items.  Our farm store is open by appointment.
